Arrival and Transfer
Arrival to Saint Oscar Arnulfo Romero El Salvador International Airport and welcome by a travel agency´s representative. Transfer to Suchitoto, check in and lodging in selected hotel or similar. Day off.
Suchitoto
Breakfast. Suchitoto is a charming town to known in Nahuat language with “The flower bird” and famous by its art galleries, a beautiful Suchitlán lake, souvenirs shop, (añil) indigo craft.Transfer to Suchitlan lake for sailing and visit the bird island, place of rest and reproduction of migratory birds, here we have a panoramic view of the island. Then visit an indigo workshop to learn about the artisanal process of coloring fabrics used in colonial times. Visit the Alejandro Cotto theater and Casa de Arte para la Paz Museum. Afternoon off. Lunch and Dinner included.
Suchitoto, Joya de Cerén, Copán
Breakfast and check out. On the way to Copán Honduras, we will visit the Cihuatan Rum factory for to know the process. You can will be able to taste the rum in its different stages, from its raw material to the final product in one hour and half approximately, it is a fascinating journey through the history of the best rum of El Salvador. Then, will visit Joya de Cerén archaeological site. These it was a Mayan farmer village declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993 and also known with the Pompeii of America for his important contribution to the archaeology. 1400 years ago, the Caldera volcano was eruption buried the village of volcanic ash, conserving today some housing structures, a Mayan sauna, a chaman´s house and many ceramics of the era. Joya de Ceren is part of the fabulous Maya World an unique in Mesoamerica. Then, we cross of the borders El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. At the evening arrival to Copán. Copán
Breakfast. In the morning we will visit the main archaeological park “La Acrópolis” we meet with the local tour guide for start the tour in one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the Maya World, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980.
Copan it was the capital city of a major classic period kingdom from the 5th to 9th centuries AD. The city was located in the extreme southeast of the Mesoamerican cultural region, nowadays Copan is considered as the Paris of the Mayan world in Central America by its series of stelae well done. The Plaza of the Hieroglyphic Staircase has a monumental staircase, one of the exceptional structures of the Maya culture. On the 10-meter-wide steps, there are more than 1,250 individual glyphs, which constitute the longest known Mayan inscription. Back to the hotel and day off.
Copán, Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast and check out. In the morning transfer to Antigua Guatemala. On the way we will have a panoramic tour by Guatemala city. At the evening arrival to Antigua Guatemala. Check in and lodging in selected hotel or similar. Overnight in Antigua.
Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast. In the morning we will visit the main monuments of the city. We meet with the local tour guide for start the tour of three hours approximately in one of the most impressive colonial town in the Americas declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Visit to La Merced church of Guatemalan ultra-baroque style, Santa Catalina arch built to connect the nuns between cloisters to avoid being seen due to the votes that the religious belonged to that order took. Then continue to visit the Central Park, its surrounded by the Palace of the General Captains, the Town Hall, the Trade Portal and the Cathedral of San Jose. Then we will visit the La Unión tank, which is one of the most representative laundries in this city, this was inaugurated on February 3, 1853. For end our tour, we visit the Jade Factory and Museum and el Carmen Church ruins was built with stucco-covered bricks, unique in Guatemala. To one side of these ruins is El Carmen Craft Market, where you can find a lot of Guatemalan souvenirs. Then time off for to take a lunch and explorer Antigua.
Antigua Guatemala, Coatepeque Lake
Breakfast and check out. In the morning transfer to Coatepeque lake in El Salvador. Cross the border Guatemala/El Salvador. Arrival at noon to the lake. Check in and lodging in selected hotel or similar. Afternoon off. Overnight in Coatepeque. Dinner included.
Ilamatepec volcano climbing
Breakfast. In the morning transfer to the “Volcanoes Complex” for to climbing the tallest El Salvador´s volcano called Ilamatepec. In our visit to the complex we can enjoy of the mountain weather, the impressive Izalco volcano and flora and fauna local. Then we departure to climbing the Ilamatepec volcano with amazing pictures to the volcanoes Cerro Verde, Izalco and Coatepeque lake, the latter located in middle of the huge crater. On the ascent we take the photos of different angles of mountains and volcanoes, if the weather allows, we can see the pacific shore. On the top the Ilamatepec volcano, we will can appreciate a huge lagoon emerald color and enjoy of a delicious weather. Then back to the lake. Afternoon off. Box Lunch and Dinner included.

Ataco, San Salvador
Breakfast and check out. In the morning transfer to the charming village Ataco, located at 1200 meters above sea level and famous by the delicious gourmet coffee, and beauty murals painted in bright colors. Walking tour by the main monuments and street of the charming village, then we will take the coffee tour for to know the process of the made of the delicious aromatic beverage. You can will be able to taste the coffe in its different stages, from its raw material to the final product in two hours and half approximately, it is a fascinating journey through the history of the one of the best coffee of El Salvador. Then visit to the one of the biggest labyrinth of Central America for to enjoy to searching to yours friends. Departure to San Salvador. Check in and lodging in selected hotel or similar. Overnight in San Salvador.
San Salvador
Breakfast. San Salvador is the capital cultural, politic, religious and business center of the country and is located at 658 meters above sea level with 2 millions inhabitants. On the way to the historical downtown, we will appreciate the most important monuments of the city, squares and modern buildings. Arrival to historical downtown, panoramic view of Palacio Nacional, Teatro Nacional and visit El Rosario church with its modern architecture and one of the iconic representation of zone. All these monuments are protected by the blue shield of La Haya convention 1954. Then visit to the 3rd Metropolitan Cathedral, Plaza Libertad place where the city become to grow up to beginning of XVI century and Plaza Barrios. At the end of sightseeing though of the city, transfer to San Salvador volcano crater to 25 minutes from the city, on the way we will appreciate some monuments of the city. Arrival to El Boquerón National Park located at 1800 meters above sea level. The principal attraction of the park is the huge crater of 1.5 kilometers of diameter and 558 meters of deep. Also there is a little crater called “Boqueroncito” in middle of the huge crater, its last eruption was in 1917, nowadays this volcano is not active. Hiking by the surround of the crater with impressive views of the flora and fauna local. Visit to the “El Boqueron Museum” where we can to know the history of the zone. Back to the hotel and afternoon off.
Jiquilisco Bay and Maculis Beach
Breakfast and check in. Transfer to the Jiquilisco bay in front of the pacific ocean. This area is a natural reserve and the most important of the Salvadoran shore, declared by RAMSAR international protected site of wetlands for its fragility and marine ecosystem. Visit to the spider monkey forest and cocoa walking tour. Then we will sail in the Jiquilisco bay between of mangroves. At the evening we will arrive to Maculis beach. Check in and lodging in selected hotel or similar. Overnight in Maculis. Dinner included.
Golfo de Fonseca´s Islands and Conchagua volcano
Breakfast. Departure to La Union port for to aboard a little boat and sail by the golfo de Fonseca´s water. Visit to Zacatillo island and panoramic view of Martin Perez island. In the afternoon transfer to Conchagua volcano to 1225 meters above sea level. On the top we can an impressive views of the Gofo de Fonseca and its islands, also the Cosiguina volcano in Nicaragua. In the evening back to Maculis. Lunch and Dinner included.
