Tamanique Waterfalls
Breakfast. In the morning we will visit the Tamanique Waterfalls. Tamanique is 600 m above the sea level, just 30 minutes away from La Libertad, it’s the perfect destination for a half day tour and between morning and evening surf sessions. Tamanique is surrounded by the chain of mountains known as Cordillera del Balsamo that connects to the Pacific ocean which provides a delightful weather and perfect views of the Pacific Ocean. This area is very well known as the Salvadorians for its green mountains and corn plantations. Tamanique is an indigenous name which means “The Taken Land” The Tamanique Waterfalls is a complex of 4 waterfalls, where you can jump off from 3 of them, the fourth and final one is 50 meters in height, there is a nice mini lagune where you can swim and relax watching the water come from the very top of the hill. During the visit to the amazing waterfalls, we check the park and catholic church as well. Back to the hotel in el Tunco Beach. Afternoon to practice the surf.
Los Volcanes Complex
Breakfast and check out. Departure to “Los Volcanes Complex” conform by Ilamatepec, Izalco and Cerro Verde volcano. Arrival to Cerro Verde and hiking to Ilamatepec volcano. This volcano has 2381 meter above sea level and this is the highest volcano of the country, located in the west zone of El Salvador. Ilamatepec in Nahuat languages means “Mountain Father”. On the way the travelers appreciate amazing views of the Izalco volcano and Coatepeque lake witch is a surface water of origins volcanic. In the top of the volcano, we can appreciate a emerald lagoon inside of the crater. Overnight in the zone.Box lunch.
Izalco Volcano
Box breakfast and transfer by continue to hiking the Izalco volcano that means “Place of the obsidian”, this is the youngest volcanoes in the Americas and for many years it was eruption and was as known the lighthouse of pacific for its incandescent lava, nowadays, is an inactive volcano. We will climbing to the top where you can appreciate beautiful views of the Pacific ocean and the crater. Then back to Cerro Verde base and transfer to Ataco village. Ataco, Joya de Cerén, Suchitoto
Breakfast and check out. In the morning transfer to the charming village Ataco, located at 1200 meters above sea level and famous by the delicious gourmet coffee, and beauty murals painted in bright colors. Walking tour by the main monuments and street of the charming village, then we will take the coffee tour for to know the process of the made of the delicious aromatic beverage. You can will be able to taste the coffee in its different stages, from its raw material to the final product in two hours and half approximately, it is a fascinating journey through the history of the one of the best coffee of El Salvador. Departure to Joya de Ceren archaeological site. These it was a Mayan farmer village declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993 and also known with the Pompeii of America for his important contribution to the archaeology. 1400 years ago, the Caldera volcano was eruption buried the village of volcanic ash, conserving today some housing structures, a Mayan sauna, a chaman´s house and many ceramics of the era. Joya de Ceren is part of the fabulous Maya World an unique in Mesoamerica.

Chinchotenpec Volcano
Breakfast and transfer to Chinchontepec volcano the second volcano biggest of El Salvador to 2182 meters above sea level located in the Jiboa valley, the name of this volcano in Nahuat lenguages is “Mountain of the two tits”. Arrival to San Vicente city and short hiking by the main square and the colonial church el Pilar, one of the first catholic churchs in the colonial era in the country, it was built in 1769 and has many interest history. Then we will take a transportation to the base of the volcano for to climbing to the top, on the way, we will have impressive views of the pacific coast, Ilopango lake and many views, as long as, it´s not cloudy. This volcano is located in middle of the country. Finally vist the “infiernillos”, hot springs boiling and emanating harmless volcanic gases. Back to Suchitoto.Box lunch.
Suchitoto
Breakfast. In the morning transfer to do the rum tour and to know the process you can will be able to taste the rum in its different stages, from its raw material to the final product in one hour and half approximately, it is a fascinating journey through the history of the best rum of El Salvador. Back to Suchitoto. In the afternoon transfer to Suchitlán lake for sailing and visit the bird island, place of rest and reproduction of migratory birds, here we have a panoramic view of the island. Then visit an indigo workshop to learn about the artisanal process of coloring fabrics used in colonial times. Visit he Alejandro Cotto theater and Casa de Arte para la Paz Museum of the village. Afternoon off. Lunch included.
San Salvador
Breakfast and check out. Departure to San Salvador city. On the way we will visit the crater´s San Salvador volcano called “El Boquerón”, to 1860 meters above sea level. We will do a little hiking by the crater, from of the viewpoints you can appreciate the crater with its little crater “Volcancito”, in the middle of the amazing crater. The surrounded has a lot of pine trees and ornamental flowers, then arrival to the hotel for register and lodging. In the afternoon we will visit the historical downtown of San Salvador and the main monuments of the city. Visit the metropolitan cathedral, plaza Gerardo Barrios, plaza Libertad and Francisco Morazán and the iconic church el Rosario, unique in Central America for the modern built. Back to the hotel. Overnight in San Salvador.
